Ross Massey was one of two Baton Rouge pitchers named to the MaxPreps 2013 Baseball Underclass All-American Team - (Michael DeMocker, NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune)
Two pitchers from the Baton Rouge area have been named to the MaxPreps 2013 Baseball Underclass All-American Team. Ross Massey of Catholic-Baton Rouge and Manny Miles of University Lab were both recognized in the sophomore class. According to a press release from MaxPreps.com, the pair are just two of several kids from across the country, who were named to the team. The players were chosen by MaxPreps based on their performances during the 2013 season.
Massey, who posted an 8-1 record in 2013 was named to the Baton Rouge All-Area Team, as well as, the Class 5A All-State Team.
Miles went 11-0 with 0.49 ERA in 2013?. He was named the Baton Rouge All-Area Pitcher of the Year. He also made the Louisiana Coaches Association Class 2A All-State Team.
